drumking, riverpark, Bream and bass, 5/16/09, Hal
#1
Hal and I fished from 8:30 until 1:45 today. We fished for redbreast sunfish. Caught'em too. We landed 74 along with 18 spotted bass that wanted to get in on the action. One little smallie, and one little largemouth along with 8 crappie. A couple of goggle eyes or two, and a couple of bluegills rounded out our day. Panfish assassins did the trick again today. We had to move from the spots that I found them this week. Those poor fish were just worn out and didn't want to play. So, we just moved on down the bank until we hit the mother lode again. The largest one that we measured was 9.75 inches long. Hal was very impressed with the fight and size of these sunnies. They do fight good in current like we had today. It was 49,500 cfs when we started and when we quit, TVA had increased the flowrate to 55,000 cfs. I know one thing. It ran down my trolling motor battery as I stood on it all morning long. When the current got to be too much for us, we just called it a day. Enjoy the pics. Met a CFFer at the ramp this morning. His name was Bill Smith, but I didn't catch his screen name. Very nice young man.

emoBigSmile emoGeezer
