Jerry and i started the day with a run up north at one of his holes. Fishing was slow for us to begin with but around 7:45ish we boated our first keeper on a crankbait on a shallow flat. we boated a few slicks and a white bass before moving to the back of our first cove. Keeper #2 was caught at the back of a cove on a spinerbait with more slicks to follow before we left. We pulled up on our second spot and cought #3 on a spinerbat in some deeper water. Switched to C-rig and for some reason could not get my hook setting together. Doghouse hooked up with a big fish on a crankbait and when it decided to show its face we found that it had wiskers emoBang . Figuring that i had sore mouthed all of the fish in this whole with out getting them to the boat we decided to make a move. We pulled up on a deeper point and started throwing DD22s cought one right off the bat and we took the time to cull our smallest. we boated a handfull of keepers on this point but only two helped us out. For the last hour we fished a point closer to HBSP and for some reason i found the right way to keep fish on a C-rig. We boated a few slicks and i had a good solid keeper at the boat but he decided to wrap himself around the big motor and it was all over. We had a boat with in 50-100 yards from us when this happened and we found out in the parking lot that it was the winners of the CATCH tourn and they saw us lose it. All in all we had a great day and had alot of laughs together. I look forwad to being able to be a backseater for Jerry in the future. Im not really sure where we finished but we enjoyed every minute of it. Jerry please make any additions for we had way to many things go on to remember everything.
