I got out for a little while on Friday and found some shallow fish, so I retreated to save them for Saturday. After launch, Jeff and I headed straight back to my fish - hitting a sizeable log in the process (not to worry, between my excellent boat jockey skills and a Ranger's ability to survive a missle strike, we continued on unscathed) - and discovered a different scenario. The water had dropped some overnight and massive carp were making whoopie all over the place. We started throwing buzzbaits and spooks, but could find no takers. We decided to move out just a smidge - which got us away from the horny carp - and keeper #1 came to the boat. Minutes later, I had keeper #2 boat-side when he shook loose. Bummer. Another minute passed and Jeff gets keeper #3 boat-side and it comes unbuttoned too. Double bummer. An hour passes with a few slicks and I swing our biggest keeper into the boat ... back in the game! More dinks for a bit, then we decide to head back up the bank where the better fish had come from and I get another keeper to bite, so we had our limit; time to cull. Several cull fish later and we had to make it back. We finished with 7 and change for 5th, which got us Legend Status (first out of the money). All of the keepers came on t-rigged plastics and a DJW Daisy jig and came from >2 ft o' very stained water.

Thanks for throwing the party, Jmax!
