[cool]Went out at gray light today south of 33 hole. First cast had a blow up but no fish. Thought it was going to be a great day. No wind and action right off. Wrong! The bite was nil after that but the wind stayed down for a few hours. Got one small striper on the gulp minnow grub and thats it. Tried dropshotting for LMB further down the shoreline for nada. Wind came up with a vengance at 10:30am so paddled the tube to shore and called it a day. No pics,no fish worth keeping.

I feel your pain. Went out today (06/06/09) and did not even get a bite. Chummed a ton at several different spots for nada. It was dead. I even took a nap on the boat. I never do that! [crazy] Calm early, gusty later. It was a nice cool day though. Maybe next time.

Wednesday June 10th; Launched at Callville about 5:00 AM. a little swell and 20 minute run in the Skeeter....First bass on cast 3 and saw a couple blowups in deeper water. Continued to catch bass till pulled off at noon. At first secondary points and reefs then later on primary points and along the wall ledges....on crankbaits at 10-12 ft. and plastics deadsticking weightless in calm areas, some on drop baits - the striper on a drop bait. Once sun got on the water bass moved deeper and into rock cover shade spots. One striper about 3 lbs off edge of rock shelf. Wind was up for ride back, but blowing in direction of the current.
