Fish Hunter, Chick, Bass, CBA(night) 6/6-6/7, emspumba
#1
Fished the CBA night tourney Sat/Sun from 8pm-8am with Scott/emspumba. It was a clear night with a bright moon which made it nice navigating. We started off fishing deeper humps and ledges then switching to different depths after dark. We had a limit by 10pm and spent the rest of the night culling. We had some decent fish with a 4.6 LM and a 3lb LM. Later after catching lots of short fish and 'barely keeper' fish we finally got a 3lb smallie and a 3.5 LM. We caught fish at just about every stop all night but we could not cull our 2lb LM. That was tough but I suppose we could have done worse. We fished in depths from 4ft to 30ft during the tourney. Fish were really biting well and we caught them on C-rigs, spinnerbaits, and cranks. We ended up with 14.81 and had a 1/2 lb penalty for a dead fish. emoBang Our 4.6 did not make it through the night despite our efforts. I think the post spawn fished had just been over stressed as it was caught about 28ft deep and was not doing well from the beginning. All other fish were very lively in the well at weigh in. Scott and I have not had a dead fish in 2 yrs. and it was a little frustrating. We fizz all our deep fish, use the Oxygenator, live well conditioner, and ice as needed. Sometimes that is just the way it goes. Here is a pic of the 4 live ones

emoRolleyes
