<br /> Fished the CFF tourney last night. Had a great turnout and Kudos to the tournament committee for another job well done!!! We hit our first spot, but were a little jolted when another participant came in on us and cut us off on the area we were fishing ten minutes after we started. Lost good keeper fish on plastic at boat twenty minutes into fishing. Had a breakoff on a Zara Spook that cost us a solid three pounder around the grass. <br /> Then started catching short fish on buzzbait before boating first keeper. Then had long lull of short fish and broken hearts and Dusty lost an absolute monster on a light bite, where he apparently did not get a solid hookset. Caught 7-8 more short fish and in the midst dropped the net into the lake, which made for a joke the rest of the night when I would hook up and yell "NET" only to realize we did not have one. Caught second keeper around 11:30 on rocky point on spinnerbait and then boated six more fish, including 10 pound drum I scooped into the boat thinking it was a smallie in the dark, only to be slimed. <br /> Got back to ramp, and decided to turn our two fish loose to be caught again. My points gain would have been so low that it did not matter, and with my concussion I had a headache and wanted to go to bed. Overall, we had a good time, and if we had capitalized, would have had a limit in the 11-13 pound range. That's why they call it fishing, not catching...<br />
