Sorry for the late report, the storm 2 days ago knocked out the power and did stupid things to the computer emoBang got it fixed and have it running now.

Got out on the lake on Wed. evening after the Tues. nite dogfight and tried to locate some more bass, and it sure was slow. So we went shallow and tried to find a topwater bite after only catching a couple small 14-15" spots off the points... My partner got his buzzbait hung right up on the bank, so we went over to get it out and as we were doing that I saw my first Parksville catfish... I dropped my 11 inch worm right infront of it and he tore it up. As soon as I set the hook a 6-7lb largemouth came out of nowhere to see what was going on. emoEek The largemouth started chasing the catfish as I was pulling it in 10ft from the boat. Wow, the catfish was an easy 4 pounds. Im not sure what species catfish it was because it was dark. It did have little dots on it like a channel cat so thats my guess.
We didnt have much more luck on Wed...

But the both of us got back out on Friday around 5:30 and fished til dark. We focused on points throwing big worms and managed 4 spots and another nice largemouth that pushed close to 5 pounds, the fish was skinny but measured 22" long. After that we hit some bluffs to see if we could catch anything off shakeyheads. Nope, but we came up on a good sized black bear and snapped a few pictures while it just stood there and stared at us. We watched it for about 5 minutes until it decided to go back up the mountain. It was cool to have it sit there and watch us because they usually fly off as soon as you lay eyes on them.
