Trev and I have a poor fishing report this morning. We bass fished early for schoolers, then switched to crappie fishing. The bass only came up for about 15 minutes total and we managed to hookup 13 bass. We landed 8 largemouth and 1 large white bass. Trev had 3 bass come unplugged and I had one that didn't want any part of my boat. I came home and washed my boat so that it will be more presentable next time. emoBigSmile

Then we switched to crappie fishing. Although we caught 25 by 11:00 when we quit, most were undersized. We only had 3 that fell into my slot limit and we let them go anyway. Trev lost what was probably a TARP crappie for him right at the boat. He said that it must have been 15 inches. It had a mouth like a bass and fought really hard. I could tell by the bend in his rod that it was a goodun. Trev, you need to open up the gap on your hooks just a little bit more. That will minimize the fish getting off.

The catfish flotilla was out in force today. I didn't count them even though I had my crocs off. Trev and I did our part. I did a good job of guiding, he did a wonderful job of casting, so we are blaming this poor report on the fish. Lots of guys fishing ledges this morning. Hope you'all had a better day than we did.

The wind was out of the north again today, but not quite as strong as yesterday. Very little current flow until 10:00 when TVA turned on more turbines. The water temp was right at 83 degrees early. This little minor cold front has slowed down the fish, at least for us this morning. The sky was really blue today. emoBigSmile emoGeezer
