Massacre Rocks Bass

Monday will be my first trip to Massacre Rocks to fish...from a boat. We have a 17 foot modified V with a 30hp motor, will that handle the water OK?

I like to spin fish and use fly-gear. Any tips or suggestions?

your boat will be fine unless the wind gets blowing to hard. It always seems to blow in that country in the afternoons.

I would try crank baits. We did pretty well on them a week ago.

Hey, thanks for the info. The fish seemed to be in a neutral mood. We had to fish plastics and small streamers SLOW. This was a challange to a couple of stillwater fishermen with the current at MR. We did catch a few larger smallmouth, one was eighteen inches.
