What a great morning to be on the water. Overcast just enough to keep it cool and a little rain to make it cooler...Saw Drumking and got to meet 2Jigs this morning...good to see them out on the water today. Now for the fish tales.......The fishing started off slow and with white bass bustin up all around us it made me wish I had brought some lighter tackle and some spoons. Gene tied into the first one and it was a healthy 5 pounder. Then I caught three in a row with a 9 pounder mixed in. We moved down close to DK and fished a lil hump that usually produces one or two for me and it paid off again with Gene tieing into a hard fighting 25 pounder. We got to show it off a little for DK and 2 Jigs. Talked to them for a while and then we moved back up to the ole faithful hole and the catfish had decided it was time to eat. Gene catches another good un that weighed 24 pounds and I see that I am being soundly thrashed by my guest in my own boat. That is really what I love to see...someone that does not have much of a chance to catch big fish catching em in my boat. We ended the day with a total of 15 with the three largest averaging a little over 19 lbs each. God was once again good to me on the water.
