thanks to all that put on a great tx.we started out with high hopes after a few good days of practice, but i guess it was the cold front that gave the bass lockjaw.emoBang we started out in mcp were my partner put the first keeper in the boat on a buzzbait and we caught a couple of slicks.after about 30 min of fishing there we went up river to fish a area were we caught a few keepers tuesday, but there were allready 2 boats there so we went and hit a bank with some grass and lost a couple of keepers on the buzzbait and put our second keeper in the boat on a red eye shad.once the sun got up we moved back down river to fish another area were we caught fish tuesday but once again there was a boat allready there.so we decided to fish some areas around the islands but the bite had shut off and the next hour and half we went without a bite.so we moved on down river and stopped at a point and the first cast my partner put our third keeper in the boat on a brush hog and i caught another slick on a wooly hog tail but i guess that was the only 2 fish there.so we moved on to a clay bank were i caught 2 more keepers on a black/blue jig in 2-3ft of water.around 10 we went back to mcp and caught a couple of slicks and another keeper on the jig but couldnt cull any of the small keepers.it was alot tougher day than i thought it would be,but i had a great time anyway and the weather couldnt have been any better.it was great to see some friends at the weighin that i havent seen in a while and meeting some new members i have talked to but never meet before.
