We hit the chick this evening for a couple of hours.... talked to Churly at the ramp, and saw Dropshot working on his boat and stopped to offer a hand. He said he had it figured out and was fixing her up. Good to see you folks again emoSmile

We ran to our first spot to see if we could get a deep bite ... My wife catches one on her first cast emoDoh This doomed us emoBang It was a keeper, and her 2nd jig fish (and she wanted a pic taken again emoTongue ) ... 19 ft of water, channel ledge, 80 deg water temps... she's starting to like them Thangs emoCool We marked all kinds of fish between 19' and 32' ... only caught a couple more, missed a few, and pulled up a blue cat emoGoofy that wrapped my dropshot rig around it... sliming up 3 feet of line... I had to cut the line to get it loose emoEnforce

Moved to another spot to see if some summertime schoolers were active... nada... marked a lot of fish on structure in 10 ft , baitfish balls hovering around 6 ft... but no activity. I guess the cold front has done something to these fish .. they should have been tearing them shad up emoScratch emoScratch
Tried a couple more spots, catching a few more on crank baits and carolina rigs.... including a 12.5" white crappie on the crankbait ... lol emoBigSmile

Had fun, but didn't get into a lot of action ... only caught 3 keepers. I stayed offshore, marked a lot of fish, but couldn't get them to bite. Maybe next time emoTongue
