JDK, Riverpark, Smallie/Spots/Largemouth, 7/29, Son
#1
Decided to fish Riverpark needing a change from dragging carolina rigs over deep water emoBigSmile Started off at daybreak around the dam and caught one but couldnt get a topwater bite so we moved on to our plan for the day.. We pitched senkos texas rigged with 1/16 tungsten weight on spinning reel and 7ft medium light rod. makes for a good fight into blowdowns and any other cover we could find... First stop hooked a fat largemouth probably close to 3 lbs.. Fished all the way down past suck creek and managed to catch about 30 fish all on senkos in anywhere from 2 to 10 ft of water.. Had one good fish take me into a limb and just snapped my line was a little frustrated but i told myself it was a catfish emoUpSmile After my son had enough my wife got him and i fished for a few more hours throwing crankbaits over deep water and managed to catch one good smallie and a big nasty drum.. The smallie was almost 19" but only weighed right over 3lbs and the drum weighed 12lbs.. it looked huge maybe my scales are off who knows.. The smallie jumped about 3ft out the water when he took the bait and I worked him nice and slow to the boat didnt want to lose him he looked 5 lbs when he jumped lol Caught one more nice spot on a crank and called it a day... Senkos have been killing them down there basically just pitch them into any cover and you should find fish.. if you can find chunk rock mixed in with the cover you will find multiple fish.. Best 3 fish would have went close to 10 lbs not bad for Riverpark.. As you can tell from the pictures we got soaked in the AM then got baked by the sun in the PM.. fun day with the son

http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq341....jpg
http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq341....jpg
http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq341....jpg
http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq341....jpg
http://i462.photobucket.com/albums/qq341....jpg
