Fishing was slow slow slow for us. We opted to head up the river and fish some ledges and drop offs. We put the first keeper in the boat at around 8:30 on a Football Jig which was around 2 lbs. Caught it in 20 ft of water with chunk rock and brush on a small ledge. After fishing a few more spots and no takers we decided to come back down the river and were going to attempt to fish a few spots off the main river channel but the wind had other plans. We changed up and decided to hit a spot tucked away on an extremely rocky point with 15 to 30 ft water on it. We boated 3 fish and 2 of which were keepers. These fish were caught on lizards and 9 1/2 inch worms Texas rigged. We had just under 7 lbs but were fortunate enough to boat all the fish that bit. We had a great time and the event was great!!! Looking forward to getting back out there and fishing a few more of them.
