Just could not let a morning off get away without wetting a hook. I called up fishnjuckie last night to see if he wanted to fill the back seat. He did and we met up this morning at 6:30. Started out slow but at about 7 we boated two back to back. Me with one on a spook that was a slick and junkie with a nice 2.5 lbs keeper on a t-rigged worm. Saw CCSM and his son-in-law and we chatted a minute or two. Stayed with the T-rigged worm and boated five more. I had a keeper about 3 lbs that was a real nice one. emoThumbsup Told CCSM and SIL that we were heading for some grass beds. There the spook bite was slow but worked. I caught two more nice 2+s on the spook and they just crushed it. Finally junkie got one in the boat on a spook but it was short. Headed down river and started the morning drop shot program. First stop boated two more keepers both off the drop. Moved again trying several different baits but the drop was the only thing we could catch them on. emoBigSmile Someone forgot to tell the fish today that they were suppose to be moving shallow. Caught several nice keepers on the drop in 37 to 42 foot of water. emoScratch Had some footballs about 2.5 to 2.75 lbs. Fished until 11:30 with the drop shot being the bait they wanted. Ended up with at least 21 we counted but I think we missed a couple. Did have eleven keepers with the best five around 13 to 13.5 lbs.
emoThumbsup Never could find any big kickers but had some very nice chunks today that stretched our lines well. Thanks for holding the back seat down for me junkie.

C-ya on the water. emoAngler Jmax
