Well I got to pull a double yesterday. Fished early in the a.m. with my Dad, (Nauticman), and mid afternoon with my wife and daughter.

For the morning bite, Nauticman and I decided to try and catch some live bait below the dam first thing. After about and hour and a half with no success we decided to use artificials. Spoons and rattle traps were not being very effective so we switched to trusty Git-Zits. Not long after that, Nauticman set the hook on a nice fish that turned out to be a really nice 17" Spot, (pictured). He was hoping for a TARP fish but she was just an inch shy. Had a full gut and a mouth full of threadfin, (pictured). We also hooked a couple of gar up around the dam. We decided to run down river and fish a channel break with a crankbait and spinnerbait and boated a couple spots doing that. Finally, we fished a winter time hole and caught a smallmouth double, one on a gitzit and the other on my crankbait. By that time is was time to go.

For the afternoon fishing we trolled a channel break with crankbaits. We caught a few spots, (mostly small ones), except for the one caught by my wife hannah, (pictured). She jumped a really nice smallmouth too but it got off at the boat, not sure about weight, but looked like a really nice one. I caught a little smallmouth and a couple catfish on my side. Then fished some rip/rap with gitzits and caught a couple more spots.

The current was minimal all day. Not sure of the CFS but not a lot.
