JDK, chick, bass- curse of the 3 lber, 9/13, Justin

Normal 0 <br /> got about 15 mins before daylight when we noticed a waterfall in the back of the boat.. a livewell hose busted and was pouring water in so after our 1st spot with no fish we went to work on the leak and I was able to plug the hose with a cap from a silicone tune and back to fishing.. boy what a tough morning we threw everything at them and just couldn’t get a bite.. Fished grassy shallow flats that usually always hold bass but nothing.. Justin got the skunk off with a catfish on a crankbait then I got excited as my lucky craft crank got nailed good fight especially as the fish went down in the grass to bad it was a stinking drum about 7 lbs.. emoBang Fished back where we started and Justin finally got a bass about 2 lbs on a spinnerbait.. Meet Team D and watched him catch about 3 fish in a row doing the same thing in the same spot we were LOL guess the fish liked him... Called it a day around1.. <br /> Frustrated I went back around 4 for a few more hours and still couldn’t find them shallow so went to a productive deep spot and marked a bunch of fish but no takers so thinking out of the box c-igged a big rattletrap and bam fish on a solid 3 - 3 1/2 lb but that was it. Tried one more shallow area before dark and caught another 3lb and 2 shorts on little john crankbait .. Think I have the curse of the 3 lber I catch tons of them just cant get a bigger fish don’t know what to do... have tried everything I would die to just catch a 5. this is really my 1st fall fishing on the Chick in about 7 years so im kinda lost on areas to fish in this transition stage.. Think its time to get back to Riverpark and chase some of them Brown Fish..
