Jmax, Chick, A very good evening., Bass, 9/23/09, solo, 40 to 50 bass
#1
Got out today trying to see if the bass had been effected by all this rain. It may have flooded but no one told the bass. Had a great outing, got out at 4:30 and came in at 8:00. Tried mostly 19 to 30 foot. Found them in the 20 to 23 foot range in force. emoEek I caught most of them on a drop shot rig but also caught them in the jumps on spooks and cranks. Had two four lbers and they both came on a spook. emoApplause Got to love four lbers hitting top water crushing a spook. Had only one three lber and several twos. Best five would have been around 16 to 17 pounds. Where were these dang fish when I needed them this past weekend at the CFF #9. emoDoh The lake was not very crowded today and only a few other fishermen. One lone skie boat was in the area I fished so it was not all that bad. I never checked the water temp, sorry, I forgot to look. There is a ton of bait on the surface everywhere. The bass would occasionly come up and hit them in force as well. Fall jumps are about to heat up. emoDance

C-ya on the water. emoAngler Jmax
