Our GA fishing club had its first ever event at Nickajack out of Marion County Park. Most of us had never seen the river until that morning......and we were all impressed with the fishing. everyone reported lots of fish caught and more than half the club had limits.

First and Second place guys fished horny toads around marion county, 11lbs 10oz and 10lbs 8 oz respectively. I went down to the Cave, water was clear and lots of bait. We caught a bunch of fish there but no keepers. Around 11am we ran up towards Bennett lake and fished some of the main river grass beds with senko's and pitching beavers into the holes. The more it rained, the better the bite was. I ended up 3rd with 10lbs 2oz. Not too bad considering it was my first time there, but I'll be back this coming weekend Smile

Thanks to all the CFF members who PMed me some areas to try, and for posting such good reports. Thanks!!!

Tim
