Decided to try some new water for me and brother this week so we decided to head below the dam for the first time for both of us . Neither of us had ever really fished in current but we wanted to give it a shot and I'm glad we did . I caught my PB smallie 4 lbs 9 oz . and a keeper LM 3 lbs 7 oz. , had 8 lbs on 2 fish . Both were caught on a 3/4 oz jig . Caught another smaller SM on a jig too . We caught fish on cranks also . End up with 5 fish in about 3 and a half hrs , 2 keepers . When I caught the big smallie it was a flyer , had 2 great jumps , my bro hadnt ever seen one jump like that . Gotta love those smallies !
