My Fall Fly Fishing ADVENTURE
#1
Hey guys!
Thought I should give a report of my recent fishing trip. My buddy is a better fly fisherman than me (he just has that 6th sense when it comes to fly fishing) and definitely caught the trophy of the trip in wyoming with a 24 inch hog of a Brown trout! He also caught a 20 inch Cutt on Strawberry Reservoir and an 18 and 19 inch rainbow on a small stream we fished. I caught plenty of 16 and 17 inch fish, and had a great afternoon in which I caught 16 really nice browns. We experienced some scenic fishing on Strawberry River, some great fishing on the middle Provo, and some decent fishing on the Lower Provo as well. The only stream that was kind of a let down was the Green on the A section. We could hardly find anywhere to fish with all of the boat traffic around us. We rented a pontoon, but were just kind of disappointed - lots of people steering their rafts and boats right over where were trying to fish. Anyhow, thought I would post some pics for anyone who is interested. Thanks again to all those who gave us advice and direction.
PS. Rob's biggest trout this year in PA before this trip was 15 inches. His biggest of all time was a 20 incher. Needless to say, I think Utah was a dream come true for him.

Nice brown! Sounds like a good trip. I hope some of my suggestions helped. Time to start planning for next year's outing.

We are already talking about a Uintas trip in the Summer, and may even do some steelhead fishing over Christmas break on Lake Eerie's tribs in Pennsylvania. And yes - your suggestions definitely helped! Especially the Wyoming suggestion as well as the reports you have given me about my favorite UT stream!

Shadowcaster-
Good to hear that the tripped panned out ok for you guys. I was worried when I last had heard you guys struggled at the Berry. Some good looking fish. Nice Brown, and a pretty Bow. Where in Wyoming did you guys go?

Nothing is more fun than fishing with friends. I'm sure he'll remember those fish for the rest of his life! Good job.
