BoatU.S. Ramping Up For National Marina Day

[font "Arial"][#000000][size 2]Cooperating marinas of the Boat Owners Assocation of the United States' (BoatU.S.) are ramping up for National Marina Day, Aug. 9, 2003. Cooperating marinas make boating more affordable by offering discounts on fuel, transient slips and repairs. BoatU.S. is a sponsor of the grass-roots event, which was created by the Marina Operators Association of America to highlight the important role marinas play in their communities.[/size][/#000000][/font]

[font "Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"][#000000][size 2]More than 700 BoatU.S. Cooperating Marinas are sponsoring the effort, designed to bring local community attention to the role marinas play in providing access, encouraging responsible use, and generating economic activity. With activities slated for the whole family, Marina Day 2003 hopes to show why marinas are the family-friendly gateways to recreational boating.[/size][/#000000][/font]
