I had met redheaddiesel at my dock with JerDog earlier this week and we had planned to fish for crappie today. The weather cooperated well and we went at 4pm from WT ramp. I had prefished for about an hour trying to find fish in the creek that were on docks that were good for teaching about shootin' as redheaddiesel had wanted to learn to do it better. We fished some great docks back in the creek that held lots of small crappie, just right for learning. The wind out on the main lake was raging and so we stayed in the creek. We also fished vertical cover in the channel and caught some keepers there. We ended up catching 6 or 7 keepers that RHD took home to fillet but I would guess that we caught around 30 to 40 total, maybe more. I need to get one of those clicker/counters like DK and Hal have. We had to stop fishing at around 6 as I had a dinner date at 7 pm. Thanks for sharing the boat with me and for the great fellowship redheaddiesel. We will go again soon. He may have some pics to add.

The lake had been dropped about a foot in the last day or so and the water temp had stabilized. I would guess that the temp. was in the upper 50's to low 60's. The fish fart1hest back in the creek were caught at an 8 count, mid creek at a 10 count and the ones on deep vertical cover where the channel was around 25 feet deep were caught at a 14 count.
Fun couple of hours with a new CFF friend!
