Well it was a beautiful day to fish. The boys wanted to try something different and since LB showed us a little of Carters we decided to go give it a try. The plan Saturday night was to get up early and hopefully hit the water around 8:30 -- Let's see - how realistic was that Dad with two teenage growing boys who stayed up until midnight emoDoh So we left around 10:00 and put in the water around 11:30 - Saw LB and his father in law - I think they said something about cooking that Walleye tonight. We were hoping to hook one up - Jack is obsessed with catching the elusive Walleye. All I can say is we needed LB bad. We did have fun and the weather was beautiful - understood that Ramjackscott was out there somewhere but did not run into him. Managed just four fish and all small except one which I caught and it pulled so hard I thought I had a four pounder but more like two! LOL. One thing I can say about Carters Lake that was different from the Chick on Saturday - We did not have one wave wash over the bow from a passing destroyer on Carters Lake - very peachful. Just like to know why those guys in the big boats like to come within a stone's throw throwing them big wakes on the Chick?? emoBang Anyhoo here is the only picture. We marked plenty of bait but the bass were not under them emoConfused This one was caught in about 35 ft in hung in a huge school of shad (2inch shad - Sam hooked one) that turned the screen black. I wish I was a striper I could have had a belly full back in that cove! HA!
