Would appreciate if someone could tell me how to get to Silver Lake. Also is this just a trout fishery? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Silver Lake by Brighton Ski resort???? If this is what you are looking for, there are only planter rainbows and some native brookies. Nothing to brag about in size, but definitely enough to get kids excited. To get there is simple. Just head straight up big cottonwood canyon to brighton ski resort, and park in the Solitude nortic track parking lot and you are there!!!

If you go in the evening there is a greater than average chance that you will see a moose or two! Lots of fun to take the kids there. About a .25 mile walk on a board walk to the firt spots to fish.

Do you mean Silver Flats above Tibble fork? Usually an easy drive but can be quite a trip at times, especially when two full-size pickups are trying to pass in the switchbacks. Throw in a summer rainstorm for an E-ticket ride!

Beautiful spot...

The fishing for kids is wonderful up there! Just be sure to use barbless hooks on the little planter trout.
