I coaxed my father-in law to go fishing today, as all the ladies had gone off shopping. He said he would go but didn't want to stay all day. Turns out he didn't mind fishing well into the afternoon. We put in at the state park ramp and ran to our first spot with only 1 nibble to show for it. The wind had gotten higher than I was expecting today and made our first spot hard to stay on. We proceeded to the next spot, and somebody was fishing it so we decided to make a little run up the lake. After a short chilly ride we made it to the cove, wind was still pretty rough in there but I decided to make a stand in this spot and find some fish. We finally found them after a few trial and errors, they were tucked up under a dock in 30 feet of water and really deep IN the dock. We proceeded to catch 26 keppers over 11 inches with 5 TARPs and 11 over 1 1/2 pounds and a couple over 2 lbs. We caught 40+ crappie and threw anything less than 11" back or we could have easily had a 2 person limit. All I have is a phone picture as my camera batteries were dead, and I don't know how to post them from my phone. Color didn't matter as long as it was Bone and Chart or Chart. The count was mainly at 4 but would go to 7 every once in a while with 1/32 oz heads. We left them biting. I had alot of fun putting him on these fish and helping him to learn the Drumking's way. Thanks Dickey.
