tennfisher, Chickamauga, crappie?, 12/30/09, alone
#1
After sitting out Monday and Tuesday when the weather man called for "windy", and seeing the forecasts for rain on Thursday and Friday, I decided to give the crappie a try about mid-morning. When I pulled up to the HBSP ramp the wind was really blowing hard, and I really appreciated meeting John Boyd (JB) who was gracious in assisting my launch by backing me into the water. From there things pretty much went down hill. The lake was too rough for my taste so I headed to Wolftever, which is still pretty muddy. Tried my luck at long line trolling but the wind made speed control a real challenge. Water temp registered 43 in WT. After a couple of hours I called it quits and headed back in to HBSP ramp, where I very effectively chewed up a prop attempting to load with all the wind emoBang On the other hand, I'm just thankful to get an opportunity to get on the water.

Tennfisher
