Cold, windy, slow, tough! Dad and I got to Sullivan's around 8 am, saw fishinjunkie standing there waiting on dragfish. Then he mentioned something about the Sunny Beaches somewhere, that was late? I never understood what that was all about? But anyway we got in the water and started hitting the shallow river ledges. 2 / 6 fow. Water temp was showing 41 degrees. The CBA entourage graced us shortly there after with about 8 boats strung out in a row. Two pealed off in to Brown's Lake, two in to Mullin's and the others look like they headed to Bennet's. Dad was chunk'in his usual rattle trap and me a jerk bait. After forever and a day I got a 2 lb. keeper! We moved on down the river to Mullin's and Dad got a hit on his trap, missed him! After you've been sitting there for so long, it's like, you get a hit and it scares you? Kinda catches you off guard you know!? Well we fish some more, switched sides of the river, and would believe it was just as slow over there too! Finally, I got another thump on my jerk bait. Another 2 lb. keeper! We barely went below Mullin's Cove, turned around and started fishing back up river. I couldn't believe it, but we had just about the same results! Slow and "nada"! I had two bites and two fish. I think that we wasted too much time trying to spy on Ron and Danny! I mean after all they have the big fish so far, right? But that was it! We loaded at about 2 pm and talked to three other boats, one with nothing and one caught three small bass and a crappie. The other said he had zip and talked to one of the CBA guys in Brown's and he had one fish. Water got up to about 43 by then. Saw Tyler, he told me the bad news about no fish and the good news about his Mother! See everyone Saturday!
