My wife was indisposed at 5:30 so I decided to get out as I figured the crappie were biting. I was right, I had 3 nice ones in the first 4 casts. I fished from 5:50 until 7:05 and got 20 crappies, all keepers, with 10 over 13 inches and 3 of those were TARP fish. The wind was blowing and it was cold but I just couldn't stop even with painful finger tips. All fish were caught on PAs at a 6 to 10 count. All on 1/32 oz heads. The bite was very slight and often I missed the fish as I only saw the fish spit the bait out. Only 2 of the 20 fish was there a movement or tick on the line. Every other bite either the line was just too tight or too loose after a pause. Part of the problem was the wind with a big bow in my line and constantly blowing the boat around. The biggest fish was 1lb and 14 oz. I was very glad that I went out tonight. Here are some pics of the TARP fish. I see that one of the TARPS didn't stay still, no, it wasn't 16 inches.
