We started off getting to the ramp in plenty of time about the 5th or 6th boat there thinking this is gonna be a good day, close parking spot, time for a quick (cold) nap, enjoying a beautiful sunrise. As we take off and get on plane towards the mouth of the river awaiting blastoff, our motor just quits. Gary was able to baby the yammy and she started back up fine. We waited as there were mucho boats at the mouth of the river now, who knows who was with what tx. Well we heard whistles and the blast off began. We got to our first stop and dd22fish puts our first fish in the boat but it turned out to have the TDS disease. He missed one and I missed one and that was it for that spot. Ran to our second spot throwing CBs & plastic stuff and nothing, notta, zilcho. Headed to our 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, etc spots and again Notta, zilcho, nothing, not even a bite. About 11 or so we were going to start working back towards MCP and fish our way back and the yammy I guess had enough, she wouldn't start again... We tried and finally called DD22fish's nephew to give us a tow to bennetts since that was the closest ramp but still 3 miles or so away. We called it a day after that cause trolling motor batteries were about dead too, so I caught a ride with Shane back to MCP to get the trailer and head to bennetts to get Gary and when we got there, Gary is in the slough idleing around with the yammy running again so who knows about the motor except it runs when it wants and doesn't run when we want it to LOL. I had fun anyway today as always when we get together and fish. It was good to see others from the CFF and congratulations to the winners on another tough day on the water.
