while recovering nicely from another hernia surgery i was able to sell a few things to be able to buy a new toy for my so far little used viper.

big thanks to tom at chattanooga fish-n-fun for getting me a great price and another big thanks to riverrat for helping me get the new MK I-Pilot terrova trolling motor on my
boat so it could be ready when i was. emoThumbsup emoWorthy emoThanks

today i felt ready enough to hit the water to find some crappie and try out the new features of this gps guided wonderment of a trolling motor.

however the crappie had other ideas emoDoh

got on the water around 9:30 am and headed over to my favorite bridge to try out the crappie and the new TM. only to find BBass and partner already there.
talked to billy for a bit while i let the trolling motor do all the work of keeping us about 25ft away from him with out me having to touch it ( kinda spooks you a little at first
when it starts turning and spinning the prop up all by itself)

fished shallow and deep, bridge pilings and brush piles , bluffs and flats. used tubes, panfish assasins, bobby garlands, and other things that i am not sure what to call emoScratch

dipped in red and yellow .

most places we looked had very few if any fish on them. we did however find a couple of medium size schools out in creek channels relating to absolutely nothing that i could tell.
we couldn't get them to bite either .

we were however able to stay were we wanted with this new i-pilot on all the previously mentioned structure. i would just press the "spot lock" button and the automatic function
of the i-pilot took over keeping us in the place i wanted without me touching the TM until we wanted to move emoThumbsup emoThumbsup

i did finally manage A single short white crappie in grasshopper as we decided to call it a day at 3pm .

water temps were around 44-45 most of the day.

if i still feel as good i may just hit it again tomorrow and hope for a better day of catching .
