Pete Jr. and I put in at Riverpark about noon. The weather was raw with drizzle, lots of wind, temp in the 40s -- smallmouth weather, we thought. Not exactly. We caught more drum than we wanted to count. Pete Jr. schooled me on the bass, he caught an 18 in. and a 15 in. LM and 2 nice spots. He lost a nice smallie at the boat when it swam faster than he could reel and she spit the hook of the spinner bait out. These bass all hit the spinner bait except for the 15 incher which hit a jig/pig. All my tube baits and jig/pigs got me was drum. We caught drum of every size and color, probably a couple of TARPs and colors of silver, bronze and almost black. They mostly hit the jig/pig. All fish were caught along natural rock or rip-rap banks, except for the 18 in. LM and a few drum caught betw. the dam and the R/R bridge. We kept the 2 spots and released everything else.

Water temp was 48 all pm with nice clarity except for the stretch below So. Chick. Crk., which poured very muddy water into the river. The flow was 26K cfs when we got there and was reduced to 14K cfs at 3pm.
