American Falls Help
#1
Howdy Guys! Mary and I are just getting into this pan fishing stuff. American Falls is really close to us. About 20 miles or so to Sportsmans Park. We seem to get skunked or maybe just a couple of trout whenever we go there. Can you give me some tips on where to find the Crappie or some Bass?

no crappie in am falls, decent amount of perch but hard to target in the summer, mainly a trout fishery try worms and a mallow.

Also if your after bass, after memorial weekend try fishing camo tube jigs, or storm minnows and bounce them off the sides of the rocks below the dam, also the rocks on the resevoir usually do decent around june.

For trolling try long lining rapalas that look like perch minnows, all the trout we have recently caught are just FULL of minnows, Silver or gold mepps work pretty well too Wink Troll in front of the dam all along the shorliine by "medicare beach to mexican cove" if that doesnt work swing the other way and go accross the rocks and towards the silo! send me a priv message if u need more Smile

hey I'm going to be in pocatello next week visiting a friend, would it be worth bringing my boat to do some bass fishing in american falls? I've never fished it, or is there any other water close that has bass. Thanks for any help.

Water was still 43 degrees yesterday. That would seem a little cold for the bass fishing to be great but then again I was after trout so I couldn't tell you for sure.

We fished down below there on Friday. I agree it was still too cold. Our group of three landed 14 but it was hard work. We took a temp reading at 46-47 degrees. Can't wait for it to warm up some.
