Well we started off idling and we made it to the mouth of the river without the engine shutting down on its own so we are looking good so far emoThumbsup We made a run up river a bit and started out shallow in 2-4 fow throwing cranks and plastic. We hit one area for sometime and managed several keeper wanna bees and 4 15/16" fish. Now it's time to work on improving some wt. We head towards another spot and find it covered up with boats so we thought what the heck lets try a deeper area to see what happens, after a few casts I put another in the boat being a solid 2.5 lber which culled one of our lber at best now maybe we have 5 lbs. Head to another spot and thought we might see some on bed only to find the dead sea. We did see one show itself off of a pt so the net man backed me up and I found that fish still hungry and wanting a pc of my crankbait. This fish was pushing maybe 3.5 lbs so there's another upgrade of about 2 lbs, now we need one more good fish and we might push around 10 lbs. Shortly after that thought we had the opportunity but the net man was 2 seconds to late or the person with the fish on decided she was gonna pull a stupid move and lift the fish over the side. Needless to say that fish came unbuttoned right beside the boat emoBang emoBang emoBadLanguage emoBadLanguage emoBadLanguage and from that point on it was downhill. We had a great time as always just a little frustrating but it's always good to see all the CFF'ers and visit. On a positive note, I was able to keep all rods in the boat and the boat ran great all day long. Thanks for the ride DD22fish as always, I had fun and learned a costly lesson, never try and lift a 5 lber over the side, this isn't the elite series emoTskTsk
