Decided to go fight the Wednesday evening tournament crowd today. Got in the water about 5 and fished till about 730. The Mrs. caught the first fish within the first 15 minutes and it was just shy 3lbs. Another 15 minutes and she had one on that was slightly larger and as she got it up to the boat she let the line get a little slack and it came unbuttoned at the boat. She got a little disapointed after it flashed her and then came off. She caught a couple slicks in between all this and then she landed her personal best with a lot more coaching from me. It weighed in a 6.21lbs. She quit fishing after that she said her heart was hurting. LOL She said was because she was scared, but I called her and that she didnt want to admit it was adrenaline. She started laughing and said it was just a fish. It was a slow day for me with catching 2 slicks and losing a decent one. This will be a trip to remember.
