Colby and I fished this evening from 5-8:30PM.
We started off trying to find a topwater bite. It was a little slow but steady. We caught several small spots and nice largemouth. The largemouth would have gone 4lb+.
After a while we decided to hit some main lake bluff walls throwing t-rigged worms. We couldnt find a taker. I switched over to a small jig and it was on! It was nice keeper spot after another for a few minutes. Boated 4 keepers all going 2-3.5lbs in a matter of minutes. Colby switched over to a jig as well and started putting some into the boat.
We ended the day with a total of 15 or so fish. Best 5 wouldve been anywhere between 14-15lbs. Another good bag for us. Would love to catch that in a Tuesday night TX but of course we cant LOL
Bite is wearing down a tad, but big fish should be easy to catch over the next week and a half or so. After then, it will probably be terrible... I might even have days where I get skunked. So the bite should be going away here soon and hopefully will pick back up in late June. We'll see what the bass decide to do.
