Blackfoot Area FIshing
#1
I have been tying up a few flies, now it is time to go try them out. Anyone doing any good around Blackfoot area anywhere? How is the Snake for clarity? Last time I tried fishing the river it was nothing but mud.

I fished around heise today and the clarity was pretty good. It is a little cloudy but not bad. Nice looking flys those should get you some fish.

I've been skunked, on the road that passes over I-15 and meets the snake river, (groveland) the green belt and big homes off to the left area....

Nice flies though, Blue chironomid very effective..

Now that I have new way of how to setup wet flies under the Indicator, I might continue to go out and try again soon.

I have caught a few on the river around Rose and the Blackfoot bridge, but it has been very slow. It is either to cold or to muddy.

Wind! I hate it. Fished McTucker Creek today and caught one 14" Cutbow. Fished a few other places and finally landed a 20" Rainbow. Fishing is really slow right now. Where I usually seen fish hanging out, there was nothing today. Only seen a few suckers and did manage to landed a 23" sucker on the 3wt. They are a good fight when they are spawning. A dust storm just blew in so that is the end of fishing for this weekend. Maybe the weather will get better soon.

I use anything between 14 and 20's. Last few weeks I have had the best luck with 18 and 20.
