Got out a bit Friday.

Looked at Twin Lakes, but didn't fish it. It is about full. Camp host is back and fees are in place.

Fished Glendale for an hour. It is full, 47 degrees, and the fish are cold and grumpy.

Found the same water temp on the snake river near American Falls yesterday. Yes, the bass are still cold and grumpy but we got a few.

Good, I am glad someone got some fish. Were you above or below AF?

I really wanted to catch some bass or panfish. I could see a few now and then on the sonar, but none would bite anything. I haven't ever tried for them this early before. Now I know why not! I contemplated going back to some trout areas, but didn't have time.

I'm getting really anxious for the bass this year too. Last year I started getting into them really well the 1st of May, but this year it's just too stinking cold for me. I bet they were biting better today with the few days of good weather, but it's supposed to get cold and wet again tonight. Oh well, I'm hoping to get some Friday as it's supposed to be decent weather.

Thats early for the camp host at twin generally atleast another week or two. they must have made a lot of money last week to move it up because generally its only about the week before memorial day. hope it warms up here to get the slabs on the bite. Headed to CJ wednesday for a few days then will be hitting the lakes here for the slabs if it warms.

Glad I did not go to twin if the camp host is already there. Wanted to make sure the boat was up and going for the year so I went to Glendale on Saturday. Talked to one guy that had got into a few bass. I did not fish much as I was playing with some new electronics. A ski boat actually showed up. Brave people, and I was a little Sad to see it already. I know it is a free country, but .....

Fish did not seem to active, I did look a little for the crappie to no avail. People that were fishing did not seem to be having much action.

It is getting pretty full.

Twin has gone from its low fall level to full in about 2 1/2 weeks. That is a lot of cold creek water coming in. I didn't check to see what temp it was, but I would bet it was around 45-47 degrees.

I would have fished there, but I didn't have any change on me for the fee. I would have had to drive into town to use my credit card to get some change anyway, so I just went to Glendale instead. -- I should have stuck to trout fishing.

Well, any fishing is better than no fishing. I figure that now I have one of my skunk days behind me the next trip will be better!
