SETHAVELLIE, Riverpark, Spots/Largemouth, 05 11 10, N/a
#1
Decided to head to the Riverpark after work. Tried some topwater, jerk, and rattletrap to no avail. Switch over to my 5in Green Pumpkin finesse worm...didn't take long.....missed a fish, then another, finally on the 3rd one I finally got the hook set. I don't know what it is about the first couple of bites with a worm I can't get the hook set, same with topwater. I guess its the excitement of the bite. I walked the bankline about 50 yards and ended up catching a combo of 10 largemouth and spotted bass. The biggest was about 2.5lbs, nothing to brag about but still fun. I should have had about 3 more but couldnt get the hook set. I did however catch a really dark rockbass, warmouth, pumpkinseed, whatever they're called. Water was down, not much current. Fish still seem to be holding in the shallows, and all the ones i hooked, were hooked deep so they liked it! I left my phone in the truck so no pics this time, but I did take a pic of the worm.
