Oxbow?
#1
We're hoping to make another trip up to Oxbow and Brownlee during the last week of May. I hadn't seen any news on Oxbow lately. Anyone have any insight? Making the long haul from Utah, so I'm just trying to get some recon before heading up.

TIA!

We have made that trip up from Utah (last week of May) the last four years and have yet to have a bad trip. We spend the majority of our time fishing on Oxbow. We keep a pretty good tally on numbers and we pretty much end the day around 150 to 200 fish caught. Hard to believe but it's the truth. We have fished in the warm sun to the pouring rain and it has not really mattered. You have to find them first but once you have found the spot the fight is on. The spot seems to change from year to year, sometimes from one side to the other but the fish are there.
We will be fishing up there from Tuesday the 1st through Sunday the 6th. Deep V grey Skeeter with a 200 four stroke. We have no problem sharing info about where and what we are catching them on. There is enough room up there for everybody to catch fish.

Good Luck

We ran into you guys last year I think. We were in the Cobra. Three of us (I was the doofus throwing flies off the back). Clark, aka Mr. ISP trooper-to-be, was one of our crew.

I wasn't sure how the cooler weather affected things, so it looks like it should be warming for the next two weeks anyway...

Oh ya I remember well. Like I said we have not had a bad trip in the last four years during that same time span. Two years ago it rained everyday on us with two days of pouring rain. We found the fish and had a great time. If you want send me a PM with your number and I will give you a call and exchange info. I am a slow typer so to fill you in on everything will take me all day.
