Fishing was excellent Tuesday. Smallmouth were hitting topwater by the rockpile at the dam. Largemouth and spots where right on the cofferdam walls and on every piece of structure on the river. Then the whites started hitting topwater below the riverpar. We stayed there until at least a hundred fish had been caught. Ran to downtown and got another 5 fish with Pat catching a respectable 3 or 4 lb bass. Why is it that the fish bite the best when you have to work the next day?
