Lots of fish in the boat but I agree with JDK, we cannot find the big ones. emoScratch It was a tough day for Colby, we were third out of the park by number but the second place boat must have stayed in the park because we only had one boat in front of us. In the deem light we did not see the wave the boat put up and when we hit the wave it rocked the boat pretty good. Colby had a expensive Reese rod and reel combo that rocked right out of the boat into the water. emoEek emoVomit About a $375 combo found it's way to the bottom of the chick. emoBawl First stop using pig and jigs he has a good hit and sets the hook. That rod snaps in half on the hook set. emoDoh emoMad It was not even a keeper bass. emoConfused

I loaned him one of my cheaper ones so he had a long rod to fish with and he was able to catch fish on it all day. I bet we boated somewhere around 40 to 45 bass on spooks, shakeys, worms and pig/jig combos with about 14/15 keepers. Half of those keepers were spots but still only was able to put together 10 and a half lbs. emoCrazy I swear the big ones are avoiding me this year. We had a good time and like I said caught a lot of fish. Our biggest was lost about ten foot from the boat. It appeared to be about a 3 to 3.5 lber but on the second jump it through Colby's worm. It would not have helped us much as the youth division was won by a kid and his dad with over 14.5 lbs. emoApplause He was so excited that it was fun just watching that ten year old kid bounce around with excitement. emoThumbsup For us it was a fun day catching and if we had not been in a tournament, lost that rod and broke another it would have been a great day. Tournament was well run and the ladies, gentlemen and Churly too all did a good job with it. emoEvil Thanks as always for putting it on. emoToast Jmax
