My son is not too big on fishing. His thing is playing his guitars and young ladies. emoRolleyes He called me last week and wanted to do a little fishing. I called him Saturday afternoon and asked him if he would want to go Sunday afternoon for a couple hours. He said yes so we were on.

Got there sometime a little after 2 and saw Derek who was warning us about the incoming storm. You could hear it in the distance. We went anyways and sure enough met it head on. Had a couple good rain suits in the boat so we stayed out in the pouring rain. emoRain Got into the bass right off. Ryan picked up one of my rods and had no trouble using it. Said it was like riding a bike. "Once you know how it was easy to climb back on." WE only used two baits, a shakey and a pig/jig combo. All bass came deeper in 12 to 25 feet. He started kicking my butt with two keeper LM and one keeper spot in the boat before I boated my first one. emoDoh I boated a five lber but it was a catfish. emoGoofy Finally I did put a couple bass in the boat. We were going to do a fish fry so I kept a couple spots in the well. Working a shakey deep I get a hard hit and set the hook. Thought it was a nice keeper LM but up comes a 2.5 lb spot. emoBooHoo Where the heck was that one yesterday! That would have been a $180.00 bass yesterday in the CBA. Big spot was less then two lbs. yesterday in the CBA.emoGoofy We boated about a dozen bass in two hours or so, had a nice mess of spots and called it quits at a little after 5:00. He said he was not really fish hungry so we let the spots go after all. emoAngel Good little trip outing with my son. Not a long one but a nice one. Got to the landing just in time to have another flood hit and had our second shower of the day. emoRain Jmax
