Had 31 boats show up this evening to fish what ended up being a very tough evening. Not very many bass came to the scales and those that did ran on the small side. There was no current this evening and the water for the most part was very calm with little waves or wind. Water temp was 80 to 82 on the surface. Out of the 31 boats that fished it only 14 bought fish to the scales.

Colby and I had a great evening with a chance to be in the money. Colby had one get off that appeared to be our big fish of the event about five feet from the boat. Good bass around 4+ came up and threw the bait back at us when it jumped. I told Colby at the time I hoped that was not our money fish. Ended up being just that. With that one we would have culled our smallest and had about 13 pounds. Just was not in the cards for us to get a check tonight. Still had a great time, we caught about 20 bass on a verity of baits with eight keepers coming into the boat. Out of the eight keepers our best five went 10.85 lbs which was only good enough to take fourth and Hank only paid three places. Most bass came on shakeys, pig/jig and worms fishing slow. Not much would chase for us and I think it was due to the lack of current.

C-ya on the water. Jmax
