cast4bass, The Chick, Bass Spots Crappie Catfish White Bass Yellow Bass, 6/26/2010, Solo
#1
I picked up my boat with my new father's day present today installed - HDS8 in dash with structure scan. Got out on the lake and played with it in the hot sun. Got the depth and fish finder dialed in. Curious if others have this unit if you did like me and set to freshwater??? Which allows to unit to work in shallower depth. I found some fish and started vertical jigging. Basically using about 3/4 ouch metal spoon gold and silver. First fish was a yellow bass next fish yellow bass next fish yellow bass - emoBang They were so thick I could feel my spoon hitting them. So I basically just let the spoon fall all way to bottom so I would not hook those dang things and then I got into some bass. All bass ran from 2 to 4 pounds and pretty chunky. Spots were very healthy.... Hooked a 13 inch crappie that fought pretty hard and a nice catfish - slimed my line emoBang Caught a few good white bass on reeling fast up. 2lbers Started around 4pm and finished around 7pm as I was pulling out there was a tx starting out. Good luck to all the TX fishermen tonight. Not a lot of pictures since by myself but I do have a few I will post later. Boy it was hot out there and no current but interesting that the fish were very active.
