Me and Peanut Hit the water Wed for a day I think neither of us will forget..<br /><br />We started the day late and ended up really late, We started out drift fishing for cats, landed a couple of nice blues "4-6 lb area" and the fishing slowed down, but there where schools of white bass busting the surface chacing shad, so we put on a couple of Little Georges, and started casting for them, we landed a couple dozen really nice ones and a couple of nice spots and a large mouth to go along with them...<br /><br />We were getting fried in the sun so we headed out looking for a few brim, all we could do was find some dinks and we wanted to have some fun , so I knew where we could pick up some better fish so we pulled the boat and headed below the Dam for some bigger fish, we got into some nice ones there, up to 9 1/2 inch fish and a nice channel cat on U/L gear,,,a bait tank full of brim for later, for some night time cat action hopefullly some big ones will show,,,<br /><br />We actually ran out of bait for the gills so we started back drift fishing for the cats down there. Well after a couple of cats we drifted throught another school of white bass, so we hit them untill dark, landing a few more nices ones there,,,we kept about 8 of the bigger ones for a great meal last night, the first time I have tried while bass, "man they eat good too"<br /><br />Before we headed out Peanut told me she really wanted to catch a big cat, so at dark thats where we headed, to catch some big cats..after settling into a place that looked really fishy, we set up and settled in for a long what for a big cat to show, Which as it turned out only took about ten min. the drag started to scream and Alison grabed the rod and landed her now PB emoAngel blue cat at 34lb's and Pea's HOF fish,,,from there we landed 6 more fish, including a nice 14lb flathead "which was her first and PB" that went home to join for dinner...<br />total big fish, 34, 27,28, 14, 16, 14lb flathead...<br /><br />So the day was a big time...<br />oh ya 8 species,,,<br /><br />Blue cat,<br />Flathead,<br />Channel,<br />Spotted bass,<br />largmouth bass,<br />White bass,<br />Yellow bass,<br />Big blue gills...<br /><br /><br />Great memories wth my girl..<br />PJ <br /> <br />............................. emoAngler <br /> emoFish emoFish emoFish
