craazyboutbass, Parksville, Spotted bass, Another great but hot afternoon, 7/8/10, Colby
#1
After the success Colby and I had yesterday we just had to go at it again.
We focused on main lake points and some pockets fishing with dropshots. We found lots of schools of bait fish and lots of schools of shad through out the day.
The bite was great, we were mainly vertically dropping our drop shots right into the schools of fish and were just flat wearing em out. So much fun!
We totaled up with 33 spots. Lots of small ones but lots of decent 16-17" fish as well. All fish have been eating well. Spitting lots of small shad when we would pull em up. Went through two packs of finesse worms. Thats a total of 40 worms. All fish were caught between 10 and 35FT of water.
Missed plenty of fish. We were aiming at 30 fish yesterday but ended at 26, today once we got to 30 we started aiming at 40 but the bite shut off after the 33rd spot, around 8PM.
Great and fun day on Parksville. I've never really have done this well in the Summer up there before except for a good topwater bite. So this is new to me LOL.
Boat ramps are packed lots of people camping and running around with their big pleasure boats emoBang but if the fish are biting, they arent bothering me too bad.
Be carefull and good luck on the water... will be out of town for a week starting tomorrow, will miss my Parksville LOL.
