I think the results speak for themselves. It isn't an immigration problem, it is an enforcement problem, ask the State of Arizona. The whole debate sickens me. Have you looked at the strict immigration laws of Mexico? One standard will do fine.
I like lots of Latinos I have met in the world, especially Ticos. (Costa Ricans) However, the laws are the laws, and I don't need any more jerks to contend with when I'm fishing. Every time I have witnessed fish poaching (and reported it) on Henry's Lake, and the Owyhee River it has been groups of Hispanic persons, usually with the appearance of a family. I'm therefore prejudiced against, or at least skeptical of Latinos who fish. Call me what you will, but it is based on real experience, not some imaginary stereotype. Dear illegal aliens, please go hammer crappie and other panfish, leave my damn trout alone. That said; every individual, regardless of their ethnic background, will get my complete respect until they prove they don't deserve it. Talk about a hot-button issue... [signature]

Maybe this should be moved to the off topic area.
Is this an attempt to light some fires? I have to show my drivers license when I get my fishing license. What other id. is considered adequate? If someone of any nationality is here illegally, will they even bother with getting a license? Hence also will they bother with any other regulation? [signature]

well when you have respect for a country, you will respect the rules and regulations implimented there including the fishing/hunting regulations... so i see any poaching (by anyone) as a lack of respect to America and everyone who works hard to keep our fisheries healthy.

Poll: Should you spell check before you post a potentially controversial poll question?
I vote yes [signature]

If you reported people becuase of poaching good for you. You called the proper authorities...
Call Immigration if you think they are illegal.... I dnt think anyone will argue that illegal aliens deserve same rights are Americans.....including fishing rights.... Just because they are hispanic does not make them illegal....in any event happy fishing.... Match [signature]

This thread is now locked. i feel like the only reason it was even put on this board was to start conflict and raise hostility. i will be posting a bulletin addressing all users of the idaho board by monday (after i and windriver have a discussion.) please take the time to read it and take what it say very seriously.
thanks for your time. Buddy aka chrome_junky [signature] |
