deadwood

whats the quickest way out to deadwood from boise? I am pulling a boat too so scott mountain road really doesnt work for me either..I have been going up to cascade and cut over on warm lake rd but it seems really round about way of getting there...also if anyone has some hint/tricks for catching anything off that res. I could use some pointers keep getting skunked there using lures and worms

I think the warm lake way is still the best way for you. the only other way we have went in pulling a trailer is to go to Banner Summit and then through Bruce Meadows and Bear Valley, but it is 10 miles further. Than the landmark road and more gravel road.
We were at deadwood a couple of weeks ago, and trolling with a little worm tiped with pink fire corn was working well.
