I have posted on Kingman Wash in the past but nobody listens.

Stay on the right side and go out as far as you can. When you get to the rock pile chum till they come.
Use the jig & anchovie rig (light weight)
Also don't throw back the little ones...the school will follow them and you won't get any more untill the next group arrives.
After you hook a fish let it fight awhile, other fish will be with it trying to steal what it ate. Have you buddies cast near the hooked fish, stripers are very competitive.

We should plan a "HOW TO" on the lake at Kingman or Boulder. Have some of the guy's bring there know how and show people what to do.
I spent two years trying to catch a striper on Lake Mead (less than 10 fish).
Then I found this site, we even hire two different guides.
After joining the NV Striper club I'm still learning.

Are you excited to start the double-digit striper hunt? It will start gettin' good when it cools down out there. I love the winter months for trying to catch that 20, 30, or even 50 lber. I'll get one that big someday.

Experience is the only real teacher.
If you are truly interested in learning a few things about striper fishing, you should get with the Nevada Striper Club.

These guys fish regular tournaments (monthly, I think) and they know what they are doing. You can fish the tournaments from a boat or the shoreline.
The best thing abut this club is that they are all about sharing information and teaching new guys how to fish properly.
It's not like a bass club that is so competitive that they keep all their tips to themselves. (I'm guilty of that).
Go to one of the meetings. You can meet the guys, sign up for a tournament if you want, and get into the raffle prizes they have.
Now it just sounds like an advertisement, but it's not. There are some NV Striper Club guys on here that can add some more details.

Drive across the dam to Arizona. Just pass the police check point look for small over pass bridge on the left. This will be mike marker #2, turn left and you will see a very small sign " Kingman wash 4.5 miles".
Go under the bridge for the new bypass road and drive carefully. This is a dirt road but front wheel drive cars will make it, still drive easy.
There is a permanent restroom facility about half a mile from the water. At high water this was a small walk and not a hike like it is now.

You can't out reel a striper. The fish will let you know what they want. If you can't make a striper meeting go to a weigh-in, this is really where the guys spill the secrets.
The weigh-ins are at vegas bay. Drive down by the fish cleaning stations, we are at the picnic area on the right.

I love double digit fishing, still have not got a limit of 20" yet. After all the chaos is over the coolers are full, your arms are tired and you can't tell if it's fish blood or yours.

! Around 8:25 my buddies start catching tiny tiny stripers (around 8 total) and release them because they were so small. One of my friends was using shrimp the whole time and he caught a decent sized cat (~3lbs). From 9:00-10:00 there was no action so we decided to head home. Overall the fishing was a failure, but it was great to get back out onto the lake. Any suggestions for my next trip, I was thinking of trying Stewarts Point after not having gone there for a year and Overton being closed and all.
